The global enterprise Honeywell has recently unveiled a new assembly line in Saudi Arabia, specifically designed for the production of fire alarm systems and building management technologies.
Strategically situated in Dhahran, this installation is a key part of Honeywell’s strategy to enhance its building automation services in the Kingdom and the wider Middle East.
By manufacturing products locally, the facility aims to meet the highest international standards and to refine the distribution process. This will ensure a more efficient supply of top-tier building automation solutions to customers throughout the region.
Phil Daniell, Honeywell’s Vice President and General Manager for Business Automation in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, believes that with the urban population on the rise, automation technologies are vital in meeting the growing demand while also addressing carbon emissions and enhancing efficiency with smarter and safer technology.
Abdullah Al Juffali, Honeywell’s country president for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, views the new facility as a pivotal achievement in Honeywell’s history in the Kingdom. It not only boosts local customer service with Saudi-produced solutions but also demonstrates Honeywell’s dedication to supporting the industrial and technological progress of the Kingdom.
With a legacy of over 70 years in Saudi Arabia, Honeywell has expanded to operate out of nine different locations within the Kingdom, employing a workforce where approximately half are Saudi nationals.
In a notable leadership appointment, Khaled Hashem was named President of Honeywell’s Middle East and Africa region as of January 2024.
