NEOM Partners with Asas Al-Mohileb for Concrete Facility
NEOM, a sustainable development in northwest Saudi Arabia, has entered into a partnership with Asas Al-Mohileb to create a SAR 700 million ready-mix concrete plant. This facility will primarily support the construction of THE LINE, a futuristic linear city within NEOM.
Asas Al-Mohileb, a prominent construction firm in Saudi Arabia, is tasked with building and running the batching plants. The facility will produce over 20,000 cubic meters of environmentally friendly concrete daily.
NEOM CEO, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, stated: “These concrete plants signify the rapid progress at NEOM and highlight the strength of the Kingdom’s construction sector. Local partnerships are vital for the efficient and sustainable delivery of this transformative project, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.”
Sulaiman Al-Mohileb, CEO of Al-Mohileb, commented: “Our partnership reflects a commitment to economic growth through advanced technologies and sustainable construction practices, supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s goals for the manufacturing sector.”
The facility will use carbon capture and energy-saving technologies, with most output directed towards THE LINE’s construction. The factory is set to begin operations next month, with peak activity expected in 2025, creating over 500 local jobs.
Construction of THE LINE is advancing rapidly, with foundation work underway and about 1,000 of the 30,000 piles already placed.
