Innovative WMS Solutions Transform Regional Supply Chains

In the competitive landscape of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Shipsy is gearing up to expand its influence by pushing forward its Warehouse Management System (WMS) services. Shipsy, a frontrunner in providing SaaS solutions bolstered by artificial intelligence for supply chain orchestration and execution, has seen promising growth prospects in these regions.

Last October marked a significant milestone for Shipsy with the acquisition of Stockone, a cloud-based WMS known for its proficiency in assisting manufacturers, pharmaceutical entities, retailers, and eCommerce operations to escalate fulfilment processes, manage compliance, and enhance real-time inventory control, workforce efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Soham Chokshi, the CEO and Co-Founder of Shipsy, emphasized the strategic advantage brought by the WMS integration. “With a WMS now part of our core services, GCC and KSA businesses can leverage a fully integrated platform for fulfilment and logistics. This allows for comprehensive logistics optimization and reliable, cost-effective, and customer-centric supply chain management,” Chokshi remarked.

While the WMS market has traditionally been occupied by systems that require significant investment, Shipsy is carving a niche as an agile contender. It has already made its mark in the Asia-Pacific region with its swift deployment and cost-effective solutions.

Key factors such as rapid implementation, smooth integration with existing Shipsy and other Transportation Management Systems (TMS), strict compliance adherence, and enhancements in inventory accuracy and warehouse productivity have spurred the adoption of Shipsy’s WMS.

For instance, a major pharmaceutical company utilizes Shipsy WMS to comply with stringent regulations like FDA 21 CFR 11, GMP, and GDP. The world’s most rapidly downloaded shopping app has reduced losses due to expiry by half using the system, and India’s leading integrated manufacturer of fluid transmission products has achieved a remarkable 99.9% inventory accuracy with Shipsy WMS.

The strategic geographical positioning of KSA as a junction linking Europe, Asia, and Africa has solidified its status as an essential trade hub. The country is actively promoting industrialization and foreign commerce, attracting global enterprises to set up production and distribution operations. This development underscores the increasing demand for robust warehousing and transportation services, which are essential for strengthening import, export, and domestic supply chains. Shipsy’s integrated warehouse and transportation management platform is poised to revolutionize warehouse functions, shipment tracking, multi-carrier operations, and logistics cost management.

According to research by Data Bridge Market Research, the warehousing market in Saudi Arabia is on track to hit a valuation of USD 13,214.96 billion by 2030, progressing at a notable CAGR of 4.5% from 2023 to 2030. Seizing this opportunity, Shipsy has been diligently recruiting top talent locally at its Riyadh-based regional headquarters to amplify its on-ground operations.

The Gulf region has been a significant contributor to Shipsy’s revenue, accounting for 35%. The company is not only growing its market share but also bolstering its advisory board in the GCC to aid businesses in navigating through economic, geopolitical, and environmental challenges while meeting evolving customer demands. One such strategic addition is Peter Somers, former CEO of Emirates Post and Bpost, and currently the Group CEO of Bob Eco Group, who has joined as an advisor for the region.
