Saudi Arabia is advancing its “Supply Pro” digital platform, developed by the National Housing Company, to enhance connections between contractors and building materials manufacturers. The initiative aims to boost the number of registered suppliers by 30%, increase the use of locally produced building materials by 7%, and unlock over 10 billion riyals ($2.6 billion) in new investment opportunities across manufacturing, supply, and logistics services, according to the National Housing Company.
These measures are projected to create more than 5,000 jobs. The announcement was made by Mohammad Al-Bati, Chief Executive Officer of the National Housing Company, during the Real Estate Supply Chain Forum in Riyadh, an event held under the patronage of His Excellency Majed Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing. The forum brought together industry experts to discuss collaboration, technological advancements, and ways to strengthen supply chain networks.
Al-Bati also highlighted that the company has recently signed agreements worth over 21 billion riyals ($5.6 billion), which have helped increase local content in the sector from 54% to 63% by the end of 2024, while generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs, according to the National Housing Company.
