Linxon has won several turnkey contracts to build high-voltage substations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to a company statement. The new 380/110/13.8kV facilities are designed to reinforce the national grid and support the growing use of renewable energy.
Linxon is a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Hitachi Energy. Together, they will manage the full delivery cycle, including design, engineering, procurement, testing, logistics, construction, commissioning, and final handover, to ensure robust and reliable performance.
The substations are part of Saudi Arabia’s wider programme to connect solar and other renewable projects to the grid. By enabling cleaner power integration, the projects directly back the Vision 2030 target of a more sustainable and diversified energy mix.
Hassan Merhi, Managing Director for Linxon AMEA, said the company’s focus is on delivering safe, dependable and sustainable energy infrastructure that supports the kingdom’s long-term strategy. AtkinsRéalis will provide project management expertise, while Hitachi Energy will contribute advanced grid technologies, aligning innovation with environmental goals.
