Unipart, a global partner in supply chain solutions and technologies for performance improvement, is thrilled to announce the start of its operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Recognized as the Middle East’s largest economy, Saudi Arabia achieved the status of the second fastest-growing G20 economy in 2023. Committed to its ambitious Vision 2030 strategy, the Kingdom is set on evolving into a pivotal logistics hub connecting Europe and Asia, with plans to draw an investment of $3 trillion in the coming years.
With a rich heritage of enhancing supply chain efficiency, safety, and sustainability, Unipart boasts a presence in the Middle East through its operations in the United Arab Emirates.
At the helm of Unipart’s Saudi expansion is Country Director Tahir Malik, who brings over 20 years of logistics expertise within the Kingdom, having collaborated with key local entities.
Darren Leigh, CEO of Unipart, commented on the expansion: “As a British firm with a wide international presence and partnerships with leading global brands, Unipart is strategically positioned to provide access to Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning supply chain sector, amidst the country’s major transformation into a central logistics hub for Europe, Asia, and Africa.”
“Tahir Malik’s two decades of scaling supply chains and operations in Saudi Arabia will be invaluable as we strive to maximize the benefits of the government’s substantial investments in diversifying the economy, fostering growth, and enhancing productivity,” Leigh added.
Leigh further expressed his enthusiasm regarding the prospects for both Unipart’s partners and the company itself: “With over fifty years of supply chain expertise, a strong British legacy, and a steadfast commitment to safety and sustainability, we are uniquely equipped to provide customers with a wide range of solutions for their supply chains, ensuring high performance and value. We are excited about the growth and expansion opportunities for our partners and our business in Saudi Arabia.”
