Unipart, renowned for its expertise in providing supply chain solutions and performance improvement technologies, has officially commenced operations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Recognized as the Middle East’s largest economy, Saudi Arabia experienced the second highest growth among G20 nations in 2023. The nation is currently engaged in transforming itself into a pivotal transportation and logistics hub connecting Europe and Asia. This development is a key aspect of its ambitious Vision 2030 strategy, which is poised to draw investments upwards of $3 trillion in the coming years.
Unipart’s foray into the Saudi market is built upon a longstanding history of enhancing supply chain efficiency, safety, and sustainability for its clients. Already established in the United Arab Emirates, Unipart’s Middle Eastern footprint is set to expand further with this new venture.
At the helm of this expansion is Tahir Malik, the Country Director for Unipart in Saudi Arabia. Malik, who possesses over twenty years of logistic experience within the Kingdom, including engagements with prominent local players, is slated to drive Unipart’s growth in the region.
Darren Leigh, CEO of Unipart, commented on the expansion, “As an internationally diversified British firm working alongside global brands, Unipart is strategically positioned to tap into the burgeoning supply chain sector in Saudi Arabia, which is undergoing a substantial transformation into a key logistics node for Europe, Asia, and Africa.”
He added, “Tahir Malik’s extensive expertise in scaling supply chains and operations in Saudi Arabia will be instrumental as we collaborate with our customers to capitalize on the government’s significant investments aimed at diversifying the economy, spurring growth, and enhancing productivity.”
“With a legacy spanning over fifty years in the supply chain realm, our established British heritage, and unwavering commitment to safety and sustainability, we stand ready to present our clients with an array of solutions for their supply chains, ensuring high performance and value. We are thrilled about the prospects for growth and expansion for our partners and our business in Saudi Arabia,” Leigh concluded.
