Clou Energy Storage unveiled new utility, commercial, and industrial storage solutions at Solar & Storage Live KSA 2025 in Riyadh, emphasizing products built for desert conditions in the Middle East and Africa.
The centerpiece was the Aqua C3.0 Pro, a liquid-cooled system designed for grid-scale deployments. It features 600Ah+ cells and a single-cabinet capacity of 6.88 MWh, with a reported 10.63% reduction in total cost of ownership—according to the company.
Engineered for extreme heat, the system combines an insulated structure with high-power liquid cooling to sustain performance at ambient temperatures up to 55°C, the company said. An AC-side design with a high-capacity MV Skid targets transformer and PCS derating, enabling continuous full-power output at 55°C, according to the company.
To combat sand and dust, Clou added sealed components and customized filtration for improved reliability in harsh environments, the company noted. The lineup also included the Aqua-C2.5 liquid-cooled system, the Aqua-E233 for C&I use, and CLOU EMS, covering applications from grid to commercial and industrial.
The showcase aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which targets more than 50% renewable power by 2030, according to the Saudi Vision 2030 program. Clou highlighted global project experience in extreme conditions, citing deployments from Chile’s Atacama Desert to coastal Guangdong, as evidence of its regional fit and technical maturity.
In summary, Clou’s Riyadh launch underscored a focus on heat resilience, AC-side adaptability, and dust protection—capabilities aimed at accelerating reliable energy storage in the region’s most demanding environments.
