VivoPower International PLC has announced that its subsidiary, Tembo e-LV, has entered into a major distribution agreement with Green Watt, a leading Saudi Arabian energy and environmental solutions provider. According to Globe Newswire, the deal is valued at up to $85 million and will see Green Watt sell and distribute 1,600 Tembo electric utility vehicles (EUVs) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by 2030.

Green Watt, established in 2016, is recognized for its expertise in renewable energy, energy conservation, and environmental sustainability. Its clients include prominent organizations such as Aramco, Halliburton, Honeywell, Baker Hughes, and the Saudi Electric Company. The company emphasizes reducing power consumption, operational costs, and carbon emissions for its clients.

This agreement marks Tembo’s first entry into the fast-growing Saudi market. The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in sectors like mining, oil and gas, utilities, and government agencies, where rugged vehicles such as the Land Cruiser 70 series are widely used. Converting existing fleets to electric models offers a practical and cost-effective route to decarbonization, supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitious sustainability goals.

Nazir Muhammad, Chief Executive Officer of Green Watt, highlighted the company’s commitment to advancing clean mobility and empowering communities through sustainable technology. Matthew Nestor, Director and Head of Global Partnerships at VivoPower, described the collaboration as a significant step toward providing comprehensive sustainable energy solutions in the Kingdom.

VivoPower, a Nasdaq-listed B Corporation founded in 2014, specializes in sustainable energy solutions for customized fleet applications, including electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and microgrids. Tembo, its subsidiary, focuses on providing reliable electric utility vehicles for demanding environments, supporting clients in achieving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives.

Green Watt, led by a team with over 25 years of industry experience, continues to expand its offerings in renewable energy and environmental sustainability, helping clients meet both financial and environmental targets.

This partnership underscores the growing momentum for electrification and sustainable practices in Saudi Arabia’s industrial and government sectors.
