Saudi Arabia has taken a major step toward sustainable transport with the introduction of public tariff pricing for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations by E-FILL, the national network operated by ASX E-Mobility, a subsidiary of AlSharif Group Holding, according to Zawya News Agency.
EV drivers can now use E-FILL’s fast-charging stations at a standard rate of SAR 0.99 per kWh. This service is managed through the E-FILL mobile app, which provides real-time station locations, digital activation, instant payments, and detailed usage tracking on both iOS and Android.
Mr. Nawaf AlSharif, Group CEO of AlSharif Group Holding, highlighted this as a strategic milestone for Saudi Arabia’s electric mobility ambitions, noting that E-FILL supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by promoting energy efficiency and digital transformation. Mohammed Almusawa, CEO of ASX E-Mobility, pointed out that the new tariff model and technology-driven approach are key to moving from infrastructure development to commercial growth.
Currently, the new pricing is available at select stations in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province, with expansion planned in collaboration with leading fuel and mobility partners such as Aramco, AlDrees, and Orange Petrol Stations.
This initiative reinforces E-FILL’s goal to deliver a seamless, user-friendly EV charging experience while supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader objectives for environmental sustainability, technological advancement, and energy diversification.
