Hithium, a prominent energy storage solutions provider, has partnered with Eng. Nabilah AlTunisi’s company, MANAT, to establish Hithium MANAT. This joint venture aims to enhance energy storage capabilities in Saudi Arabia by setting up a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility with an expected annual capacity of 5 GWh.
At the Solar & Storage Live KSA event, Hithium introduced its newest energy storage solutions, specifically designed for desert conditions. These systems offer advanced sandstorm protection and can endure extreme temperatures, providing discharge cycles of over 12 hours, tailored for the Middle East and Africa.
Eng. Nabilah AlTunisi emphasized the significance of this development in Saudi Arabia’s energy sector, highlighting its role in creating jobs, fostering innovation, and supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals. The collaboration aims to maintain Saudi Arabia’s leadership in the global energy transition.
Sean Sun, Hithium’s GM for the MEA region, stated that the partnership with MANAT reflects Hithium’s dedication to the region’s growth. The establishment of a local BESS factory is part of their strategy to expand their global presence while contributing to local energy advancements.
