China’s Hithium Energy Storage Technology Co has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s MANAT, founded by Engineer Nabilah AlTunisi, to create a joint venture named Hithium MANAT. This collaboration aims to establish a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia, boasting an annual production capacity of 5GWh (Gigawatt-hour).

The joint venture plans to combine Hithium’s global energy storage expertise with local insights from Hithium MANAT to effectively address the needs of the Saudi market. This strategic move was announced during the Solar & Storage Live KSA event, where Hithium showcased its energy storage solutions designed specifically for desert environments.

Hithium, with its headquarters in Xiamen and presence in global locations such as Shenzhen, Chongqing, Munich, Dubai, New York, and California, has already supplied 40GWh of BESS projects worldwide.
