Saudi Arabia will host the first Hydrogen Arabia Summit & Exhibition on December 8 – 9, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC. Organized by RX, the company behind the World Hydrogen Summit, the event is positioned as a new hub for hydrogen and clean energy collaboration.

Program and Themes

The two-day program will pair a strategic conference with a technology showcase, convening senior government officials, global energy executives, investors, and innovators. Core themes include hydrogen’s role in delivering Vision 2030, achieving Net Zero by 2060, and advancing carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).

  • Advancing carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS)

The agenda will also spotlight the Kingdom’s Circular Carbon Economy framework, introduced during its G20 Presidency in 2020, as a pathway to reduce emissions while maintaining energy security. Discussions will address investment flows, certification and trade, and the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors.

Speakers and Participants

Speakers are set to include leaders from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), ENOWA-NEOM, Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE), Air Liquide, Hy24, and Aramco Ventures. Organizers say the event aims to translate policy and technology dialogues into practical market outcomes.

Investment Commitments and Strategic Goals

Saudi Arabia’s energy transition commitments remain a central backdrop to the summit: over 1 trillion Saudi Riyals ($270 billion) for the power sector and 880 billion Saudi Riyals ($235 billion) for renewables, according to the event announcement. Key projects include the NEOM green hydrogen initiative, alongside a $10 billion Public Investment Fund allocation to hydrogen, according to the organizers.

RX described Hydrogen Arabia as a platform for accelerating investment, innovation, and long-term energy security, reinforcing the Kingdom’s ambition to lead global hydrogen production and trade.

In short, Hydrogen Arabia intends to align policy, finance, and technology to scale hydrogen and CCUS solutions—and to anchor Saudi Arabia’s role in the emerging clean energy economy.
