Saudi Arabia’s energy minister, Abdul Aziz Bin Salman, announced the country’s position as the leading producer of green and clean hydrogen at the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh. The event emphasized Saudi Arabia’s readiness to export this energy worldwide.
Salman highlighted the nation’s efforts to export various energy forms, utilizing the circular carbon economy. The goals include enhancing economic diversity, boosting value, increasing supply chain flexibility, and creating job opportunities.
Since 2020, Saudi Arabia has produced 44 gigawatts of renewable energy, comparable to half of the UK’s total capacity and 90% of Sweden’s, positioning it as a key player in the energy transition financially.
This year’s conference also addressed strategies to tackle global challenges, Africa’s economic role, and the promotion of women’s leadership in investment sectors.
