SFC Energy AG, a prominent provider of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells, has secured its first order from Saudi Arabia. The order, placed by RESTART Limited Company, involves EFOY Pro methanol fuel cells and accessories for 100 public safety monitoring systems, contributing to SFC’s revenue and earnings for 2025.

Located in Brunnthal/Munich, SFC Energy AG is known for its sustainable energy solutions. This move marks an important expansion into the Middle East, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s emphasis on clean energy. RESTART will utilize these fuel cells for Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and other public safety systems, ensuring reliable and eco-friendly power in off-grid areas.

The order comes after an extensive proof-of-concept phase where SFC’s technology was tested in Saudi Arabia’s high-temperature conditions. The fuel cells demonstrated superior performance and reliability compared to competitors.

Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG, emphasized the strategic significance of this partnership, highlighting the technology’s adaptability and SFC’s commitment to climate-neutral energy solutions.

Mr. Fahad Alsuhaim, Vice Chairman of RESTART Limited Company, praised the collaboration for delivering a dependable and cost-effective solution aligned with Vision 2030, enhancing logistics efficiency and sustainability.

SFC Energy AG, with headquarters in Germany and operations worldwide, has sold over 75,000 fuel cells. The company is listed on the Deutsche Boerse Prime Standard and is part of the SDAX index.

RESTART Limited Company, founded in 2008, specializes in construction and infrastructure, offering services in project management, civil works, and energy solutions. The company’s commitment to innovation and sustainable development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
