Sineng Electric, a renowned name in solar and energy storage solutions, has been awarded a substantial 2.6GW supply contract for the PIF4 project in Saudi Arabia. This significant renewable energy initiative, co-owned by ACWA Power, Badeel, and SAPCO, is a key component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the country’s energy resources.
The PIF4 project comprises two major solar power plants: Haden and Al Khushaybi. Sineng has secured a 1GW supply deal with China Energy Engineering Group Consortium for Haden and a 1.6GW agreement with Larsen & Toubro for Al Khushaybi, reinforcing its footprint in the Middle East. This initiative is part of the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), supporting Saudi Arabia’s goal of achieving a 50% renewable energy mix by the decade’s end.
Sineng will supply advanced 8.8MW MV turnkey stations for this project. These stations feature two 4.4MW central inverters, a transformer, and an RMU, designed for high power output and adaptability to various conditions. The equipment is engineered to withstand extreme temperatures up to 51ºC and harsh sand-laden winds, ensuring consistent performance throughout the plant’s lifespan.
Qiang Wu, Chairman of Sineng Electric, expressed pride in contributing to the PIF4 solar PV project, emphasizing the company’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s energy diversification. With over 6.5GW of contracts secured in the Middle East, Sineng is focused on propelling the global clean energy transition through innovative and efficient solutions tailored for photovoltaic projects.
