Sineng Electric has secured a significant 2.6GW supply contract for Saudi Arabia’s PIF4 project, a major renewable energy venture. This initiative, co-owned by ACWA Power, Badeel, and SAPCO, supports Vision 2030’s aim to diversify the nation’s energy sources by increasing renewable capacity.
The PIF4 cluster includes the Haden and Al Khushaybi solar power plants. Sineng’s agreements include a 1GW supply with China Energy Engineering Group for Haden and a 1.6GW deal with Larsen & Toubro for Al Khushaybi, strengthening its foothold in the Middle East. This project is part of Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), targeting a 50% renewable energy mix by 2030.
Sineng will supply advanced 8.8MW MV turnkey stations, each featuring two 4.4MW central inverters, a transformer, and an RMU. These stations are designed to operate in harsh conditions, including temperatures up to 51ºC, ensuring reliable performance throughout their lifespan.
Qiang Wu, Sineng’s Chairman, expressed enthusiasm for participating in the PIF4 project, stating, Sineng Electric is pleased to support Saudi Arabia’s energy diversification efforts.
With over 6.5GW of contracts in the Middle East, Sineng is dedicated to advancing the global shift to clean energy with innovative and efficient solutions.
