Arctech has secured an exclusive agreement to supply its SkyLine II solar tracking systems for the Sadawi Solar Project in Saudi Arabia, according to information from the company. This 2.3 GW solar farm, developed by Shanghai Electric, will use Arctech’s advanced single-axis trackers designed to withstand strong winds and minimize downtime.
Covering approximately 40 kilometers, the Sadawi project aims to produce over six billion kilowatt-hours of clean energy each year—enough to power 700,000 homes in Saudi Arabia. The initiative is projected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by about three million tonnes annually.
With this contract, Arctech’s total project volume in Saudi Arabia for 2025 surpasses 4 GW. The company, which manages its Middle East and North Africa operations from Dubai, has accumulated more than 14 GW in regional solar tracker contracts. Arctech is also providing trackers for the 2.3 GW Haden project, owned by ACWA Power.
