SNT Gulf, a subsidiary of SNT Energy, has secured a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia by signing a Localization Agreement with the Saudi Localization Procurement Service. This agreement officially lists SNT Gulf on Saudi Arabia’s “Mandatory Product List” for Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG), a move aligned with the nation’s Vision 2030 initiative to boost local industry and technological independence, according to SNT Energy.
The signing ceremony brought together key figures, including His Excellency Ahmad Al-Jahrani, Saudi Deputy Energy Minister, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Semari, head of the local procurement agency, SNT Energy President Shin Kyung-in, and SNT Gulf CEO Oh Young-seok.
SNT Gulf’s inclusion followed a rigorous on-site evaluation of its technology and production capabilities, completed in April. This recognition comes after the company’s earlier long-term procurement agreement with state-owned Aramco in 2022 and ongoing efforts to expand local manufacturing of nuclear equipment such as HRSG and Surface Condensers.
Representatives from SNT Energy highlighted that this agreement demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s confidence in the company’s technology and commitment to localizing industry. SNT Gulf aims to further strengthen its presence in the Saudi energy market and support the development of a robust local industrial ecosystem in line with Vision 2030.
