Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global (RSG) has partnered with DAA International and the Arabian Petroleum Supply Company (APSCO) to bring Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to The Red Sea International Airport. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance aviation sustainability.

According to RSG, both SAF and Lower-Carbon Aviation Fuel (LCAF) are designed to significantly cut greenhouse gas emissions in aviation. These fuels can be produced from various sources, including clean hydrogen, captured carbon dioxide, and renewable or waste-derived materials.

RSG emphasized that this move aligns with its strategy to reduce carbon emissions, which includes a commitment to using solar energy for all its operations.
