In the vicinity of Riyadh’s commercial hub, Al Kharj City recently celebrated the opening of a state-of-the-art facility belonging to the Arabian Plastic Industrial Company—APICO. The event was graced by dignitaries from the company, the Balubaid Group, and a gathering of business elites and industrial frontrunners.
Positioned in Al-Kharj Industrial City, the factory stretches over a vast 34,000 square meters, marking a significant leap for APICO. The completion of the first phase includes a 12,000-square-meter building where a variety of plastic goods are crafted using blow and injection molding processes. With an eye to the future, the facility is poised to expand to 22,000 square meters, enhancing its capacity to include a wide array of APICO’s offerings, particularly the new PET product line.
During the inauguration, APICO’s CEO, Mr. Venugopal, shared his immense pride and portrayed the expansion as a strategic move to bolster proximity to clientele in the Central and Eastern regions, as well as to propel APICO’s reach into the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Middle East, and global markets. Since its inception in 1996, APICO has been committed to integrating cutting-edge technologies to meet diverse customer needs, backed by its seasoned expertise and dedicated workforce.
APICO, a prominent player in the sector, is now well-positioned to navigate the future with precision, specialization, and a pledge to surpass market expectations. The new Al Kharj facility is a testament to APICO’s enduring dedication to industry leadership and its pivotal role in the evolution of the plastic products sector in Saudi Arabia, serving various industries such as automotive, food packaging, air conditioning, retail, and transportation.
For APICO, this inauguration is more than a milestone; it is the launchpad into a new chapter of industry dominance, further solidifying its stature as an innovator in the realm of plastic products within the Kingdom.
