Notable collaborations include the establishment of the Department of Mining Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, along with efforts at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University to propel women’s participation in the sector.
Fostering Industry-Academia Synergy
Additionally, the Ministry is working alongside the Ministry of Education to imbue the education system with a culture reflective of the Industrial Revolution. This includes enriching school curricula with market-demanded skills, particularly those relevant to the technologies emerging from the Fourth Industrial Revolution and their impact on the sectors in question.
Sustainability in Learning and Development
The Agency of the Ministry for Human Capacity Development emphasizes a sustainable approach to learning, which takes root as early as kindergarten and extends throughout one’s life. This strategy ensures that the workforce remains adept, equipped with the latest competencies brought forth by the transformative effects of advanced industrial technologies.
