Egyptian startup Qara has raised $2.6 million to expand its supply chain technology into Saudi Arabia, marking a significant step in its regional growth.
Qara offers a digital platform that ensures product authentication and traceability throughout the supply chain, enhancing connectivity and providing data insights for businesses.
Since its launch, Qara has collaborated with over 35 manufacturers, verifying more than 28 million product units, and has linked these partners with over 50,000 business users across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Kenya.
This expansion into Saudi Arabia will leverage the National Technology Development Programme’s Relocate Initiative, which supports tech companies entering the Saudi market.
Co-founder and CEO Hassan Abouzeed noted that Qara addresses significant challenges in the manufacturing industry and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by focusing on innovation.
Qara’s platform aims to improve manufacturers’ B2B2C marketing and distribution capabilities by ensuring product authenticity and enhancing supply chain visibility.
The recent funding highlights Qara’s role as a pivotal player in the supply chain tech sector, setting the stage for further regional growth.
