CARE Expo Launches Saudi Edition to Advance Climate Action and Renewable Energy
Trescon has announced the launch of the Saudi edition of CARE — the Climate Action and Renewable Energy Expo — set for Riyadh on December 8–9. This event supports Saudi Arabia’s ambitious sustainability goals and addresses the growing need for global climate solutions, according to Trescon.
Part of the international CARE series, which also includes events in India and Dubai, the Saudi edition focuses on advancing climate action, renewable energy, and sustainable finance through collaboration between public and private sectors. Across the series, more than 10,000 participants, 950 investors, 225 sponsors, and over 200 speakers from more than 100 countries are expected to attend, according to Trescon.
The CARE Dialogues, the series’ opening session, took place in Dubai on June 24 and centered on Green Finance and Beyond: Driving ESG Across Sectors.
The invite-only event, powered by Emtribe, brought together leaders from finance, policy, and technology to discuss integrating ESG principles into business strategies.
Mohammed Saleem, founder of Emtribe, emphasized the importance of practical, results-driven conversations, stating that CARE stands out for its focus on collaborative action.
Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and CARE’s Role
Saudi Arabia is undergoing a major energy transformation. Under Vision 2030, the Kingdom has pledged over $266 billion for renewable energy and sustainable development, with a target of producing 50 percent of its electricity from renewables by 2030, according to Trescon. Initiatives include green hydrogen, large-scale solar parks, and giga-projects such as NEOM. CARE KSA aims to support these efforts by bringing together key stakeholders and showcasing global innovations.
Naveen Bharadwaj, group CEO of Trescon, highlighted that CARE KSA will unite international innovators and Saudi leaders to drive progress in renewables, climate technology, and green finance, helping to turn the Kingdom’s vision into actionable projects.
Event Features and Global Collaboration
The event will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, policy roundtables, workshops, and an exhibition of cutting-edge solutions in sectors such as solar, wind, green hydrogen, water, climate finance, and carbon markets. CARE KSA will also host the ClimateTech World Cup, a global competition for early-stage climate innovations, with finalists presenting their ideas to international investors.
