A recent high-level visit signals a new chapter in relations between the two countries, emphasizing innovation, sustainable growth, and impactful joint ventures.

Key discussions are set to revolve around renewable energy partnerships and the exchange of industrial expertise. According to official data, bilateral trade surpassed $6 billion in 2023.

Strategic cooperation will expand into vital sectors, including pharmaceuticals, food production, and the automotive industry. During the trip, His Excellency Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef is scheduled to meet with Indonesia’s Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources and the Minister of Industry, as well as other senior public officials.

The agenda also includes talks with private sector leaders, such as Febriany Eddy, Director and CEO of PT Vale, and Shaqiq Akasya, CEO of BioPharma. Saudi Arabia has invested in Indonesian companies like Vale Indonesia, a key supplier of nickel for electric vehicle batteries.

This engagement aligns with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which prioritizes investment in electric vehicle technology and the transition to clean energy.
