Royal Road Minerals has shifted its focus in Saudi Arabia by relinquishing the Al Miyah tender to concentrate on the Jabal Sahabiyah project. This project spans 284 square kilometers and includes three exploration licenses. Key areas of interest are the Jabal Muwayqirah gossan and the Hanash South prospect, with drilling set to begin in early 2025. Rock samples from these areas have shown high mineral content, including gold up to 7.5 g/t, silver up to 423 ppm, copper up to 5.0%, and zinc up to 30%.
The Jabal Sahabiyah project is located in Asir Province and was awarded to Royal Road Arabia Limited (RRA), a joint venture between Royal Road and MIDU Company Limited. The project shows promising copper, gold, and polymetallic mineralization, believed to be influenced by meta-intrusive rocks.
Project Highlights
- Jabal Muwayqirah: Located at the northern edge of a magnetic aureole, this area features oxidized mineralization. Past drilling revealed notable zinc, copper, and lead content, with recent samples adding significant gold and silver values.
- Hanash South: Known for its mineralized gossans, this prospect includes a 2.3-kilometer chargeability anomaly. Although historical drilling identified sulphide mineralization, systematic gold assays are lacking.
Drilling at both sites is planned for the first quarter of 2025. The focus is on uncovering extensions of mineralization beneath existing cover using modern exploration techniques.
Dr Tim Coughlin, President and CEO, emphasized the importance of systematic exploration and advanced analytical methods to fully assess the mineral potential, particularly for gold.
Royal Road Minerals is committed to sustainable exploration, aiming to develop significant copper and gold deposits with minimal environmental impact. The company is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and operates in Saudi Arabia and Morocco.
