The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources is currently accepting bids for the acquisition of five new mineral exploration licenses.

Three of these licenses will be for the Jabal Sayid site, which encompasses an extensive 2,892 square kilometers. The site is rich in base metals such as gold, silver, copper, zinc, and lead.

An additional site at Al-Hajjar, which covers about 1,896 square kilometers, is also on offer for exploration. This area too is noted for its deposits of gold, silver, copper, zinc, and lead.

Interested parties will be able to begin the pre-qualification process in July 2024. Subsequently, an information memorandum will be released in October of the same year. The evaluation of proposals is scheduled to commence in December 2024, with the announcement of successful bidders anticipated in January 2025.
