Agility, a prominent force in supply chain services, has unveiled plans for the final expansion phase at its Agility Logistics Parks (ALP) in Riyadh.
This project involves a significant investment of SR250 million ($66.6 million), adding 100,000 square meters of top-tier warehousing space. By completion, the park will span a total of 551,368 square meters. The initial phase is slated to be operational by Q1 2025 and is expected to create 300 new jobs for Saudis.
ALP also operates advanced warehousing facilities in Riyadh and Dammam and is investing over SR611 million to construct a third complex near Jeddah.
Michel Saab, ALP’s global CEO, highlighted the crucial support from the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, the Ministry of Investment, and the Riyadh region municipality in facilitating this expansion.
“ALP’s expansion in Riyadh is not just about increasing our operational capacity. It represents a substantial contribution to the growth of the logistics market in Saudi Arabia and will allow international companies to invest in their growth in the Kingdom,” Saab stated. “By building world-class warehousing, we are able to provide critical infrastructure that is helping to make the Kingdom a global and regional logistics hub.”
ALP is known for its cutting-edge, sustainable warehousing solutions. The Riyadh Logistics Park supports leading brands in consumer goods, industry, and e-commerce with storage, distribution, processing, and fulfillment services. In 2022, one of its warehouses became the first in Saudi Arabia and the GCC to achieve EDGE Advanced certification.
EDGE, or Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies, is a global benchmark for energy-efficient buildings, managed by the International Finance Corp. EDGE Advanced structures are “zero-carbon ready” and at least 40% more energy-efficient than standard buildings.
