Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC), a prominent logistics group, has revealed a new venture through its subsidiary, GWC Energy Services. They have partnered with Saudi Offshore Fabrication Company (OFC) to establish 100,000 sq m of top-tier logistics facilities at Ras Al Khair Industrial Port.
The agreement focuses on enhancing OFC’s storage and logistics capabilities. GWC Energy Services will utilize its logistics and energy supply chain expertise to optimize these facilities for client needs.
Matthew Kearns, Deputy CEO of GWC, emphasized the deal’s importance for their growth strategy, especially in Saudi Arabia. This comes on the heels of another agreement with GFH Financial Group to develop 200,000 sq m of logistics facilities in major Saudi cities like Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
Kearns highlighted the synergy between GWC Energy Services and OFC, aiming for operational excellence. He pointed out that such partnerships are vital for reinforcing GWC’s regional dominance in logistics and supply chain solutions.
OFC, founded in 2022, is the first Saudi entity specializing in offshore rig manufacturing and logistics support for key players, including Saudi Aramco. It benefits from strategic funding and location advantages, near major maritime industries and the Safaniyah offshore field.
According to Engineer Fahhad Alharbi, CEO of OFC, this collaboration aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to make the Kingdom a global logistics hub. The partnership is set to deliver exceptional supply chain solutions within the energy sector.
