Jeddah: King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has achieved a remarkable milestone, setting a new record for passenger traffic by handling over 161,000 passengers in a single day. This accomplishment underscores the airport’s critical role as a major hub, especially for pilgrims visiting Mecca and Medina during Hajj and Umrah seasons.
On that day, the airport efficiently managed over 132,000 pieces of luggage from 817 flights, highlighting its capacity to support large volumes of travelers.
