Saudi Arabia’s Special Integrated Logistics Zone Company (SILZ) has forged significant partnerships by signing three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) at the Global Logistics Forum. These agreements aim to enhance “Riyadh Integrated,” the country’s first special logistics zone, promoting industrial growth, economic diversification, and job creation.
- Global Retail Collaboration: SILZ partners with SHEIN to establish a custom facility, boosting Saudi Arabia’s logistics and international supply chain role.
- Air Cargo Development: A collaboration with King Salman International Airport to create a premier logistics platform, advancing Riyadh’s air cargo capabilities.
- Precious Metals Refinery: A joint venture with Valcambi and Ajlan & Bros to launch The White Palm Refinery, Saudi Arabia’s first LBMA-accredited precious metals refinery, enhancing the country’s global market presence.
Streamlining Supply Chains
These agreements focus on improving supply chain efficiency, offering value-added services, and increasing Saudi Arabia’s capacity for global logistics operations. Dr. Fadi Al-Buhairan, CEO of SILZ, expressed pride in these achievements, stating they align with Vision 2030 goals and support the development of integrated value chains.
Riyadh Integrated emphasizes light manufacturing, trade, and distribution, offering a comprehensive ecosystem with incentives like 50-year tax relief, VAT exemptions, and 100% foreign ownership, making it attractive to investors.
