A major new trade fair, ALUMINIUM Arabia, is set to debut in Riyadh in April 2026, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding aluminium sector. Organized by RX, known for its global industry events, the exhibition will gather key players from across the Kingdom to explore innovations and opportunities throughout the aluminium value chain.
The event, scheduled for 27 to 29 April 2026 at The Arena Riyadh, aims to connect producers, processors, and technology providers. According to recent research cited by RX, Saudi Arabia’s aluminium market is expected to surpass US$3.6 billion by 2034, with a compound annual growth rate of 4.4% from 2025. This growth is attributed to government initiatives supporting localisation, industrial innovation, and major infrastructure investments.
Saudi Arabia has invested over US$32 billion in its metals sector, including US$12 billion specifically for aluminium projects, according to RX. The country’s access to affordable, sustainable energy and significant bauxite reserves has enabled the development of Ras al-Khair Industrial City, the world’s largest integrated aluminium production complex, which produces 740,000 tonnes annually.
As part of Vision 2030 and broad government strategies, the aluminium industry is becoming a cornerstone of the Kingdom’s economic diversification. With more than US$1.3 trillion in infrastructure and mega projects underway, demand for aluminium is rising sharply, especially in construction, automotive, packaging, and aerospace.
Vasyl Zhygalo, Managing Director for Middle East and Emerging Markets at RX, stated that ALUMINIUM Arabia will provide a vital platform for collaboration and innovation, uniting manufacturers, producers, technology providers, policymakers, and investors. The event will highlight the latest advancements in aluminium production and support the Kingdom’s goal of creating a fully integrated, sustainable aluminium ecosystem.
RX’s expansion into Saudi Arabia builds on the success of its flagship ALUMINIUM event in Düsseldorf, which recently hosted over 800 exhibitors from 50 countries and welcomed 20,900 visitors, according to RX Germany. Michael Köhler, Managing Director of RX Germany, emphasized that the ALUMINIUM brand now connects industry leaders across Europe, China, North America, and the Middle East.
RX operates globally, organizing around 350 events annually across 41 sectors in 25 countries, and is part of RELX, a leading provider of analytics and decision tools for professional markets.
