Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources His Excellency Bandar Alkhorayef met with Airbus Helicopters CEO Bruno Even in France to explore joint investment prospects in helicopter manufacturing and maintenance, according to the Saudi Gazette. Their talks centered on Saudi Arabia’s strengths in attracting aviation industry investments, including incentives and supportive infrastructure.
The discussions highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to economic diversification under Saudi Vision 2030, with a focus on empowering the private sector and forging global partnerships. His Excellency Bandar Alkhorayef outlined Saudi Arabia’s strategic advantages, such as its location connecting three continents, rich natural resources, competitive energy costs, advanced infrastructure, and streamlined government procedures.
The meeting reaffirmed the National Industrial Strategy’s prioritization of developing the aviation sector. Saudi Arabia has identified over SR10 billion worth of investment opportunities in areas like maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), drone manufacturing, and precision automation, aiming to establish itself as a global aviation hub, according to the Saudi Gazette.
