Hikvision, a global pioneer in creating advanced security solutions, has joined forces with alfanar, a distinguished Saudi Arabian industrial group, to set up a high-tech manufacturing unit in Riyadh. This partnership is designed to elevate local production by crafting premium quality security devices within the region.
The alliance aligns with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Made in Saudi program, part of the nation’s strategy to realize its economic ambitions and achieve the milestones outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. The collaboration between Hikvision and alfanar will not only spur the domestic economy by promoting the purchase of locally-made products but will also position the Kingdom as a key manufacturing powerhouse on the international stage, enhancing its export profile.
An official event at alfanar Industrial City on May 29 marked the significant partnership, gathering influential figures and policymakers for an exclusive preview of the production facilities. The attendees had the chance to observe the sophisticated technology and processes in action.
Through this joint venture, Hikvision and alfanar are dedicated to providing superior security solutions tailored for the Saudi marketplace.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with alfanar to inaugurate our Riyadh manufacturing base,” expressed Tony Du, Hikvision KSA’s president. “The fusion of Hikvision’s security know-how and alfanar’s industrial prowess will help us deliver unparalleled products and services to our Saudi customers.”
Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Othaim, alfanar’s marketing and sales chief, stated, This partnership is the fruit of significant efforts and has resulted in a top-tier manufacturing space featuring the latest global technologies to ensure utmost efficiency and quality. We take pride in our professional cadre of well-trained engineers and technicians.
The ceremonial event not only highlighted the manufacturing potential of the new site but also underscored the commitment of both companies to produce high-quality local security solutions. It also served as a platform for industry experts to network and exchange insights, offering a glimpse into the future of the security sector in the Kingdom.
This venture is anticipated to generate job opportunities, fostering a proficient workforce to propel the security industry’s expansion. Hikvision and alfanar aim to improve supply chain reliability and efficiency by localizing production, ensuring faster deliveries and better customer support.
Previously, the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority had engaged with various security camera producers, including Hikvision, to discuss localization prospects. Subsequently, a cooperation agreement was signed last year with alfanar to establish the Kingdom’s inaugural security camera assembly line.
