HP Inc. is set to establish a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, signaling a major expansion of its operations. This new facility will produce personal computers, printers, and other devices and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative to diversify its economy and enhance technological prowess.

During the LEAP25 technology conference, Enrique Lores, President and CEO of HP Inc., announced this plan, highlighting the facility’s role in addressing the increasing demand for computing devices in the Middle East. It will also serve as a strategic hub for HP’s regional operations, emphasizing the company’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s industrial and technological growth.

In addition to the manufacturing facility, HP will open an Artificial Intelligence and Research and Development Centre of Excellence in Dhahran. This center will focus on AI-driven solutions to boost business efficiency and automation. It will concentrate on data analytics, robotic process automation, and AI-enhanced decision-making, aiming to optimize operations and improve efficiency. Attracting top global and local AI talent, the center will also offer training programs to nurture local expertise.

HP’s initiatives complement its educational partnerships in Saudi Arabia, including collaborations with the Human Resources Development Fund, Tuwaiq Academy, and Savvy Games Group. By 2027, HP expects its programs to impact millions of Saudi students and professionals, cultivating a skilled workforce ready for technological advancements.

The investment in Saudi Arabia reflects a broader trend of tech companies recognizing the Middle East’s strategic importance. The region’s growing demand for advanced technology solutions, supported by government policies, makes it an attractive destination for tech investments. HP’s efforts are set to significantly enhance Saudi Arabia’s technological infrastructure.

The Riyadh facility will produce HP’s latest computing devices, including next-generation PCs and printers, featuring advanced security and energy efficiency. Its strategic location will facilitate efficient distribution across the Middle East and North Africa.

The AI and R&D Centre in Dhahran will be a hub for innovation, fostering collaboration among experts to tackle complex industry challenges using AI. HP aims to contribute to a robust tech ecosystem in Saudi Arabia through innovation and collaboration.
