Wolffkran Holding, a prominent name in tower crane design and manufacturing, has formed a strategic alliance with Saudi Arabia’s Zamil Group Investment Company. This partnership, formalized at a ceremony in Riyadh, gives Zamil a 50% stake in Wolffkran’s local business, Wolffkran for Equipment.
The agreement builds on prior announcements and highlights both companies’ ambition to expand in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The signing event at Riyadh’s Four Seasons Hotel saw participation from Wolffkran and Zamil board members, along with officials from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and other key stakeholders.
Wolffkran’s Legacy in Saudi Arabia
Wolffkran has been active in Saudi Arabia since 2009, partnering with Roots Group Arabia Company on major projects. Their cranes have played a vital role in expanding pilgrimage sites in Makkah and Madinah, and in constructing landmarks like Princess Nora bint Abdul Rahman University and Jeddah Tower.
In 2023, Wolffkran established Wolffkran for Equipment in Riyadh, focusing on crane rental and services.
First Tower Crane Manufacturing Facility
As part of this partnership, a new tower crane manufacturing facility will be established in Saudi Arabia, a first for the region. This facility aims to meet the growing demand for cranes in the Kingdom and support Saudi Arabia’s industrial growth goals.
The collaboration leverages Wolffkran’s engineering expertise and Zamil’s local market insights to support large-scale projects with advanced solutions.
Boosting Saudi Arabia’s Construction Sector
This local manufacturing initiative enhances Wolffkran’s operations and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to strengthen its industrial sector. The facility is set to become a hub for innovation in the regional crane industry.
This significant collaboration illustrates how combining global expertise with local partnerships can foster sustainable development and address the infrastructure needs of a rapidly expanding region.
